I started this fan art on May 31st, 2015. This is a digital painting of Elsa from Disney’s Frozen, and she’s not done yet. I’m also drawing Anna. I didn’t originally plan to make them so detailed, but this is my favorite way to draw, or do anything, and Frozen truly is my favorite movie!
I used a reference photo lined up with my digital painting, and I would pause drawing to switch back-and-forth between them, or I would compare them side-by-side while drawing. This allowed me to draw Elsa very accurately without any tracing.
I’m using Krita, a free open-source digital painting program for these drawings.
